I just had a quick question. My family is thinking about joining the disney vacation club. We go to Disney about every year. I was wondering about how much is the monthly fee and is there maintenes fees at the end of the year.Disney vacation club?
I am not a DVC member, but have thought about it. My understanding from talking to the DVC cast members is that there is not monthly fee charged by the DVC. Any monthly fee would be based on your financing of the membership. Sort of like a mortgage. The maintenance fees differ based on your home DVC resort and do increase yearly. I do not remember is your taxes are included in the maintenance fees, or if they are charged separately.
If you are seriously thinking about the DVC, and if you have not done it yet, stop by one of the DVC kiosks. They will give you more info about the club than you could ever wish for.
Hope this helps.Disney vacation club?
Initial purchase: The current price to purchase ownership in the DVC, from the DVC, is $104 per point with a 160-point minimum.
Interest: When purchasing through the Disney Vacation Club, financing the cost of membership is an option. The DVC offers one, three, five, seven and 10-year plans.
Annual Dues: Annual dues are paid yearly and are based on the amount of points owned. The 2007 fees ranged from $4.12 per point at Saratoga Springs to $5.63 per point at Vero Beach.
Exchange fee: A fee of $90 is charged when booking a vacation through the Member Getaways program, and a fee of $75 is charged when booking the Concierge Collection or the Disney Cruise
