Thanksgiving in Colorado?

Im going to copper mountain over thanksgiving for a race camp and im just wondering what to expect as far as snow. I may be irrational, but im afraid that there wont be much for when im there. If you have been to this area of colorado at this time of year or know the area pretty well id like to know what you think i am likely to encounter at that time of year.Thanksgiving in Colorado?
You'll be excited to know that there's is snow there already!

By Thanksgiving the place will be covered. Don't worry!
they will have enough snow for the camp, but don't get all pumped up cause the mountain probably won't be 100% open. I used to go early season every year, but stopped because it just isn't the amount of snow you can expect in later season.Thanksgiving in Colorado?
If you are going to race camp, dont worry. Most resorts that produce race courses set them up on a main run, with alot of snow-making equipment. The man-made snow is the ideal for race courses because it is faster adn harder than natural snow. At the end of November, the mountain will probably only be half open. Even if they get dumped on, the low skiier traffick and high operating cost of opening the entire mountain that early is not cost-effective for the resort. Be prepared to ski the main groomers unless you are willing to risk your season pass and race camp to go poaching. If you are out there during the actual holiday weekend, they may open up more terrain because there will be enough people out there to justify it. But I wouldnt hold out for much. They should have a nice little park set up to play around in. Just head over to A-Basin or Loveland pass if you want some deeper snow and more terrain options. They are only a few minutes down the road.
