How to get parents to stay Disney Vacation Club Members?

I've been going to Walt Disney World ever since I was young and have been there a lot of times and love it. My parents decided to put our Disney timeshare on the market and if it sells, we won't be DVC members anymore and we probably won't go to Disney very much or anymore. My mom wants the family to stay DVC members but my dad won't listen to her or me.How to get parents to stay Disney Vacation Club Members?
Remind them all of the benefits they can take advantage of!

1. Discounts on select dining, attractions, recreation and entertainment, including discounts on select Theme Park Annual Passes at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts!

2. A dedicated team of Disney Cast Members to help with all your vacation planning needs, including making reservations, or choosing a destination.

3. Disney events, from previews of Theme Park attraction to taking over an entire Disney Cruise Line ship, to a special Member's tour through Adventures by Disney.

4. Special Member publications that offer "behind-the-scenes" looks at upcoming Disney events and new Disney attractions.
I really can't help you to try to convince your dad otherwise. His reasons may have to do with the economy or the uncertainty of job security. Or similar to many intelligent people he may feel it's time to cut back and simplify. Whatever his reasons you should respect his decision and not try to question him. Do appreciate, though, the fact that you've had this wonderful opportunity to enjoy WDW as DVC members. By the way, you do realize the majority of the population doesn't have or never will have this privilege, right? Sorry I didn't give you the response you expected. But as a reasonable parent who makes weighty decisions more often than I care to, I have to back up your dad on this one.How to get parents to stay Disney Vacation Club Members?
Sorry honey but you are the child and they are the adults - they get to decide. There may be factors that you don't know about - perhaps your dad is worried about his job or finances or setting up a college fund for you.

One day you will have to make these decisions yourself but now - you should focus on the fun you have had and how lucky you have been to have that opportunity that many don't and will never have. Time to grow up child.
Remind them that they can take vacations around the world using their DVC points. The Disney Cruise Line is going to Europe and Alaska, and there is a DVC resort opening next year on Oahu!

Your Dad is just out-numbered!

Good luck.
