What are the chances of getting altitude sickness?

who is more prone to get it?



im going to copper mountain over spring break and i am afraid i will get altitude sickness, im 14 and im skinny

i get anxiety/panic attacks sometimes and i could get one because i'll probably be afraid of getting the sickness

and i heard that you are supposed to breath deeply or something as you go up and are up there cause it gives you shortness of breath and i get that when i have attacksWhat are the chances of getting altitude sickness?
It's very hard to predict who will get altitude sickness and who will not.

There are medications that your doctor can prescribe to prevent it.

The meds. have worked very well for me as I am particularly susceptible to altitude sickness.



There are also over-the-counter pills. But I have no idea whether they work or not. Best would be to speak with your doctor.
