What are the AVERAGE monthly payments for disney Vacation Club?

We goto Disney once a year..is the DVC worth it??? i know they said it being around 17,900 but wondering how the payments work out and what the deposit might be.Every time i talk them they cant give me a straight answerWhat are the AVERAGE monthly payments for disney Vacation Club?
Before you commit to purchase, make sure you have reviewed the point charts to determine how many annual points you'll need for your vacation based on when you travel and what type of villa you will need. DVC currently requires a minimum initial purchase of 160 points- at a cost of about $104. per point. Their buyer incentives vary quite a bit- which probably is the reason you aren't getting a concrete number. Also- the interest rates I've seen range from around 10% to 14%. The down payment is also variable based on the incentive you choose (some provide you with down payment credit)..

You'll also want to check the resale market as well. It is possible to buy a resale DVC ownership from prices starting around $60. per point. Financing is not always available for resale, but the savings often makes up for that! Resale contracts also don't require you to purchase as many points. You can often pick up contracts as small as 25 points. Small contracts are great for just a few days lodging, or for people who only want to go every second or third year. Again, find some point charts to be sure the points you buy are sufficient for your travel needs.

Currently, Fidelity Real Estate Agency- Timeshare Division, is the recommended resale broker of Disney- but you can find a number of resale brokerages who specialize in this specific timeshare program. What are the AVERAGE monthly payments for disney Vacation Club?
We bought 150 points almost 5 years ago. We put $5k down and pay $151 per month, plus $52 monthly fees. If you go to Disney once a year, it is DEFINITELY worth buying, I did the math, it does pay for itself in 5-6 years. I would recommend going directly through the Vacation Club, there is no "middle man" that way! You also get discounts on many things. My only regret was we didn't buy more points, but we are planning on adding on very soon!
