Ideas for a things to do for a guys trip to Denver area?

In August (20-24) my friends and myself are heading to Denver to run a 5k (Warrior Dash). Anybody have any other ideas on what to do while we're there? We were looking into White Water rafting, but it seems most of the rivers are low around that time. We range in age from 27-32.



Any activities, bars, places for food, cities in general we should visit? The race is at Copper Mountain, but we haven't decided if we're staying around there the whole time or not.Ideas for a things to do for a guys trip to Denver area?
Saturday night there's always a free concert in Dillon...you don't want to go back to Denver...too far...stay int he mountains. Also, too hot! it's usually around 100 in Denver in August! (of course, it could be snowing in the mountains.)

Travelling a bit south of Denver to Colorado Springs is a must, Go see Pikes peak, 14,110 feet

There is a lot to do in the Breckenridge / Lake Dillon area. There are a variety of water sports in and around Lake Dillon, restaurants, bars, and an Outlet Mall over in the town of Dillon.

Yep downtown, 16th St Mall, Lodos on Market St. Lots of Bars, Clubs %26amp; females. You will love it.
