Best snow tubing in Colorado?

Looking for a great snow tubing experience for a big group of adults in Colorado. Most of us are in Denver, so Telluride or that far south is a probably out.

I see that there is tubing at Copper Mountain, but $15 for an hour?? We would like to do this for atleast a half day. The only place I was able to locate online that had full day rates was Beaver Meadows Resort up near Red Feather Lakes (Fort Collins). After looking at photos and a video on youtube, it's obvious their hill is tiny and we'd have to be plastered to really enjoy it. Plastered is not on the to do list, as we'll have to drive home....

Anyways, anyone have a suggestion??Best snow tubing in Colorado?
go up to fraser its about 7 minutes from winterpark. Behind the Alco theres a ginormas tubing hill, but go to the first one because theres two...the second one sucks. oh and go at night its awesome they blast music and have light it's dope. i think its around $8 to $10 an hour cuz its like a local buisness. trust me...ive been going there my whole life its the bombb:)
I know you said that you don't want to go far away, but the best place I have been to is the Grand Mesa near Grand Junction. It is about 3 1/2 hours away, but you would not regret it, especially since it is free. There are two awesome places; Old Powderhorn and what we used to call Suicide Hill (when I was a kid). I know it is out of the way, but that is my suggestion.Best snow tubing in Colorado?
Vale
Why not bring your own tube and hit Carter Park in Breckenridge, which has a great walk-up, sled-down hill. And...it's free with plenty of parking. Also, Breck gets lots of snow so the conditions will be good. Of course, the drive isn't bad at all from Denver. You could tube and stop for lunch or drinks on Main Street all in one day, with the drive factored in. Carter Park is on the south end of High Street, adjacent to the elementary school. If you need to buy a tube, you can usually find them at the City Market in town.

If you are looking for more fun things to do in Breckenridge, you should check out my blog for ideas: http://www.breckenridge-lodging.org/blog鈥?/a>

Have fun!
