We are wanting to go on a ship that is geared more towards young adults and not so many kids running around...we do know there will be families but we prefer something that is not so much like Disney cruise lines...thanks for your help.Which cruise ship should a young couple go on?
Carnival is geared more towards young couples.
I think Celebrity Cruises is perfect for young couples. You won't find so many kids on board like you would with Disney. The ambiance on Celebrity's ships (especially the Solstice class ships) is sophisticated and chic.
Unlike ships such as Cunard, Azamara, Oceania, or Regent (these ships don't have many kids onboard) on Celebrity, not only are there not as many kids, but you'll be cruising with people closer to your age. As someone in her late 20s, I think Celebrity's ships are beautiful. Take a look at some of the photos here http://www.alaskacruiseexperts.com/alask/a>Which cruise ship should a young couple go on?
Unless one of you is over the age of 25 then Disney or Cunard are you're only options
Carnival and Royal requires that at least one person be at least 25 years of age - OR if you're legally married and can prove it then the minimum age is 21 for both!
Book when its time for kids to be in school - such as October
I second the choice of Celebrity. A bit classier than Royal/NCL/Carnival, better service and food, and not so many kids. You can find fewer kids if you go when school is in session and/or on a cruise longer than 7 days. Princess might also be an option, but I've not sailed with them.
I think Princess is great, there are little kids around, and there are a lot of couples on board too. You will rarely see any kids running around.
The couples on board range from young to ones that retired, overall, I think it would be great for you guys.
Have fun!
