Jesus, Why is my new Job TERRIBLE?

Before judging, please read my entire question and answer accordingly (no dumb 1 sentence responses!)

I just got hired to be a Entertainment Host on Disney Cruise Lines. The job pays well considering I have no expenses for 6 months at sea, but a couple things bother me and I was hoping some of you could help me out:

1) They expect our uniforms to be "Neat and Pressed" all the time, yet do not allow irons in our cabins. So how do they expect them to be pressed? Also, how do I do laundry? I'm stuck sharing a small cabin with another person, and it seems damn near impossible to have all those clothes cramped in my one locker plus be able to keep clothes clean. What do I do with dirty clothes? Put them on the floor? Come on.

2) My contract states I have to work 7 days a week with limited time off during the day. But no days off. Are you serious? With 900 crew members, you think they would have enough people available so everyone could have at least 1 day off to do what they want. Hell, that's how normal businesses operate on dry land. Why is it different at sea? While others are vacationing and catching sun, I'm stuck working 70 hours a week and trying to keep my smile working.

3) Is Disney the strictest company to work for? At age 30, I want to be treated like an adult, not some prisoner. Are other cruise line companies more laid back? And is the catch that Disney is strict but has the best connections? Please help.

And no spam! No stupid smarmy remarks. Serious only.Jesus, Why is my new Job TERRIBLE?
Instead of asking people on Yahoo Answers why don't you ask some people on the ship who have learned how to deal with these difficulties already and learn from those who have gone before you.
This is not a stupid smarmy remark. This is serious. In answer to point one, ask your line manager, politely. As to the rest, I assume that you were told the contractual points of your employment and you, by accepting the position, have implicitly agreed to them.

The answer is that you are not forced to work for them and are quite free to terminate your employment.Jesus, Why is my new Job TERRIBLE?
quite honestly I would love a job such as yours:-) everyday would BE a vacation:-) how do I apply??? Peace/Love God Bless
LOL sucks to be you.
Yes.

On my last Disney cruise, I spoke with my waiter. He told me alot about life on the ship so I decided to give other people advise off of what he told me.

He told me that Disney is a sacrifice. The pay is good, but it is definitely hard work. You don't get much of a break. I did see him 1 day though. He got to get off the ship during the day to go on an island. Im sorry....

Disney definitely has good pay and is loyal, but is REALLY STRICT! Any little tiny detail that can impress passengers, has to be fulfilled within their workers. Other cruise lines are possibly more laid back. Have you ever taken a Disney cruise for yourself? The people on the cruise ship are definitely perfectionists. With your clothing problems, you are going to have to find away to keep your clothes clean....Sorry.
