There`s a restaurant on Ventura Blvd. near Studio Citywhere you cook your own food, anyone know the name.?

I think the restaurant is Japanese and there`s a selection of ingredients which you cook yourself on the grill, similar to Benihanas. I`ve herd it`s on Ventura Blvd. out in the area of Studio City. Would appreciate any assistance to know the name of the restaurant.

Not sure but I'm guessing you mean Gyu-kaku.

There's one in Sherman Oaks

This is a Japanese BBQ franchise and they're really popular in Japan. Haven't been to the ones in LA though.
So was I right?

Hopefully I didn't give false info!

I think you are talking about Marrakesh. Its an Indian restaurant where you cook your foods in boiling both or on hot griddle plates at your table.
If its like Korean BBQ where you have a hibachi at yoru table, you can find them all over the place! The Japanese version is very close to Korean but you dont' get the Kim Chi.
I love Gyu-Kaku, a lot of fun so in case that's the restaurant you're thinking of...Japanese take on Korean bbq and more...thought I'd share some of my favorites since their menu is huget. Our favorites are the unagi bibimbap, kalbi tare, shrimp garlic, shishito peppers, portabello mushroom, harumi (skirt steak). They clean the grill often. Even offer s'mores but we found them awkward b/c the chocolate they give you takes much longer to melt than the marshmallow giving you gloppy mess.
I hope you're not thinking of Jean's Blue Room which was fondue. It's gone. Too bad.

Otherwise, any Korean BBQ place lets you.
