I mean they are cooking on a grill in the middle of a table oil sparkling knives and stuff flipping is it safe has there been any accidents?
Have u seen ablack person eating there b4?Is Benihanas a Dangerous place to eat?Has there ever been an accident?Have u ever seen a black person there?
I have actually gone there several times with all different races (I live in NJ). It is not dangerous, as far as the food is concerned. If however, you are a little nervous, stay away from the chicken and pork options. The shrimp will always be cooked right and the beef is cooked to order. The stuff they have is pretty simple - they give you rice, veggies, and a meat. It is the sauces and the salad dressing that might be weird to you. My fiance is from Michigan and he hates their salad. I on the other hand love it. With the oil - think about it as a really big rectangle. On the side closest to the chef is where it is HOT and where the food is cooked. It is the outside of the rectangle - where everyone is seated - that is just kept warm - I wouldnt put my hand on it, but it doesnt appear to be very hot.
It is slightly on the pricy side and the drinks are expensive, as well. Make reservations if you can. There will be a wait. I would say the average meal can run one person about 20.00 or so - w/o anything extra. The last time I went there for the two of us I think it was almost 100.00 - it was for a birthday.
I here it is expensive. What do you mean have u seen a black person eating there!? Maybe you could be a pioneer? Don't worry about the knives, they put up glass around the tables now like at a hockey game.Is Benihanas a Dangerous place to eat?Has there ever been an accident?Have u ever seen a black person there?
it is safe, and I have seen black people eat there. You are a safe distance from the cooking. the Chefs are professionals.
If you are asking if it's a bad area of town you need to say where it is. Hibachi style places are fun and safe, although I did get soy sauce on a dress there once... don't wear anything expensive. I'm not sure if I did it or if the cook did it, but he was very entertaining, the food was really good, and the check was really large.
The chefs at Benihana are trained professionals, so you're more likely to get hurt preparing food in your own kitchen than at Benihana.
That being said, I think it would be fair to say that people go to Benihana as much for the "show" as for the food. The food is good, but I think that the cost of the chef is factored into the cost of the food, so many people will find Benihana to be a relatively expensive meal.
I've never been there but a lot of celebrity folk have. I don't know if they count though, considering they treat them much better then they would you and I. But, they have been around for over 40 years. You have to think too, how many of us really like that kind of food. I know I don't like anything that looks back at me when I'm eating it. Or anything that has legs hanging all over. Or anything that reminds me of a bad chest cold. Here is a list of celeb's that I hope enjoyed their visit.
